    Leo,

I just signed up for your newsletter and am looking forward to more incredible strategies.

Before you sign off for a while, I wondered if you still believe that hubpages index and have a stronger showing in google than squidoo?

I’m going to begin using these more in my testing first upfront versus buying domains and committing to building micro niche sites. It seems like hubpages have a stronger presence but I’m so attached to the fact that squidoo allows more links out to affiliate offers.

    All the best,

    Sunshine

  6. Damn, all my favorite bloggers are going offline ;)

Looks like I’ll have to subscribe to your newsletter then.

    @ Sunshine,

In regards to hubpages vs. squidoo, I think that hubpages is better coming out of the gate but there are so many factors involved when you are considering which parasitic host is better and it really depends on the amount of content already indexed on these hosts. MORE content of a singular market/keyword generally can mean slower indexing. At least that is what I have discovered.

Well, crap. OK. I am really looking forward to your ideas on siloing.

I have always “let the product / info tell me where to link” by simply trying to figure out what I would want or need if I was a customer on my site. But I have always wanted a more structured approach aside from the above + giving keyword specific juice to pages higher up in the silo.

I’ve been trying to get a new 100 page site up and it is burning me out… and your doing 1000 pages, that is large! Good luck mate, I enjoyed reading this stuff.

What exactly is an ecommerce affiliate site? Is that 1000 pages each with a different product with a link to Amazon or Ebay or something like that? All products the same niche?

Simply put, yes. But, I do them in a different way. Most large affiliate sites use datafeeds and stop there. What happens is there isn’t a strong internal link structure (which affects rankings) and the description, image sizes, ect….are all the same. The result is you wind up competing with 1,000′s of others doing what is essentially the “norm”. I also don’t use blogs as a direct platform but use a static site. A blog is attached to push deep indexing.

Thanks. I wish I knew 1/10 of what you know. Any chance you could point me to one of the sites from the 1,000′s of others that use data feeds? I would just like to see what one looks like and, although I have probably seen one before and not known it, I am not sure what one would look like.

    Oh Leo,

Just wondering if you’re planning on finishing the seo linkvine review or not. I was curious to see your results with that service.

    @ Will,

I am and will. I am just giving it a little time (as link building isn’t a “fast” affair). I might revisit this on my next blog post. Don’t want to blast it prematurely or give it undue accolades.
