You have probably seen products that promise the world and make broad, sweeping statements in regards to making money online. Some will tell you a story about how they made $10,000 in a month online with no more than an internet connection and want to show you how YOU can do it as well.

I am not going to go into the psychology that is in the works with these products. Hopefully, you can control your ID long enough to carefully think things through rationally and realize that there is simply not one product out there that you should consider to be life changing enough to give you a career change. In my decade plus long career of making money online, I have found not one seminar, teleseminar, printed or digital book, video or audio that has solely transformed my life.

Some marketers will tell you that THIS is the way or THAT is the way…that you need this and this and this to make money online. Some will espouse that you need to have your own website. Others will tell you that you don’t have to own anything. Some will tell you that the money is in the list while others will tell you that you don’t need one. Some will tell you that adsense, article marketing, ranking in the search engines, having your own product, ect. is an absolute necessity to success. For every one person telling you one things, there are 10 people who will claim that it is a waste of time.

Some websites will try to sell you on the idea that making money online is easier than making money off line…..and you may actually believe it…

Being average means you are running from one trick, link scheme or tip to the next…purchasing waves of products in the hopes of finding what is essentially the modern day equivalent of the holy grail.

If you are doing this (and chances are you are), you are an opportunist and will likely never be able to cross the dip from average to extraordinary. In other words, that full time income working from home on your computer will likely never happen.
